I graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, followed by a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Tulane University. I have over 30 years of clinical experience treating adults, couples, families, adolescents and children over the course of my career. For the past 20 years I have worked exclusively with adults ages 18 and up.  Currently, I am working with clients via teletherapy and in-home therapy.

My approach to treatment is integrative, using a psychodynamic approach incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy and mindfulness techniques.  I specialize in treating life adjustment and life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and end-of-life passage.

My current areas of interest are neuropsychology via Robert Scaer, Peter Levine and Bessel Van Der Kolk; Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy based on the work of John Bowlby and Carl Rogers, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy developed by Steven C. Hayes.

My Approach

I view therapy as a partnership and a collaboration. We will embark on this remarkable journey together. I look forward to walking with you on your path to understanding, clarity and peace.

Based on the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship of safety and empathy, I will support and guide you to explore your inner world to reach your goals of therapy.
